The True Purpose of Life: Time, Accountability, and the Final Destination

0

This world is something we all must live in — and indeed, we should live it. But we must never forget our true purpose. Allah says in the Qur’an:

“I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.”
(Surah Adh-Dhariyat, 51:56)

Sadly, many of us have forgotten this purpose. The glitter of this world, the race for wealth, and the desire for status have taken us away from the real path that leads to our final destination.

Day and night we run — chasing money, fame, comfort, and success. But pause for a moment and think:
All of this wealth, these titles, these decorated homes, and these fleeting moments… they will remain behind. Nothing of this world will enter the grave with us.

Allah reminds us in the Qur’an:
“This worldly life is nothing but play and amusement. The real life is the life of the Hereafter, if only they knew.”
(Surah Al-‘Ankabut, 29:64)

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
**“On the Day of Judgment, the feet of a person will not move until he is asked about four things:

  1. How he spent his life,
  2. How he used his youth,
  3. How he earned his wealth and where he spent it,
  4. And what he did with his knowledge.”**
    (Tirmidhi)

Think carefully: Where are we spending our time? Hours slip away on social media, yet we struggle to spend even ten minutes with the Qur’an. We work tirelessly for worldly exams, but what about the greatest exam — the exam of the grave and the Hereafter?

The Prophet ﷺ also warned us:
“There are two blessings in which many people are deceived: health and free time.”
(Bukhari)

Time is a gift — yet it is running out. Every second is carrying us closer to our end, closer to either light or darkness.

Remember…
The moments we waste in worldly distractions will be the very moments questioned on the Day of Judgment. That same time can become light in our graves — or it can turn into darkness.

So pause, and ask your heart:
Where am I spending my life?
Which path am I running on?
And will this path lead me to the pleasure of Allah and the gardens of Paradise — or away from it?

May Allah guide us to use our time wisely, to live with purpose, and to reach our true destination: Jannat-ul-Firdaus.

Ameen.

And hold firmly together to the rope of Allah1 and do not be divided. Remember Allah’s favour upon you when you were enemies, then He united your hearts, so you—by His grace—became brothers. And you were at the brink of a fiery pit and He saved you from it. This is how Allah makes His revelations clear to you, so that you may be ˹rightly˺ guided.

Prophet Muhammad(S.A.W) emphasized the importance of community building through various sayings and actions, highlighting principles like mutual support, cooperation, and social responsibility. He stressed the interconnectedness of believers, using the analogy of a building where different parts support each other. His teachings also emphasized the importance of justice, kindness, and generosity within the community, while discouraging injustice and aggression.

Time is running faster than we think; every moment we spend is not coming back. We have been guided by Allah through various prophets and been warned every time about the Day of Judgment, which is very near. Love of this world will lead us nowhere but hellfire, but love of Deen will open every door, which will lead us to the Jannatul Firdaus in sha Allah. the duty of each and every Muslim to learn, act, and spread knowledge among those who are less fortunate than us. We as born Muslims are so blessed; it’s a favor from our Lord. But look at us and around us—what have we become? We know everything but do not accept or follow. Being a Muslim is not just about offering Salah and reading the Quran and fasting during the month of Ramadan or paying Zakat or performing Hajj or Umrah; it’s broader and greater than that. We are responsible for each and every act that we do, be it in public or seclusion. Allah knows everything; every time we commit a sin, an angel writes it down. He is with us 24/7; he can even read our minds.

When the Quran talks about blindness, it’s actually a metaphor to describe those who lack understanding of faith and divine guidance. It highlights that true blindness is actually a lack of insight and understanding of Deen, rather than just the inability to see.

وَمَن كَانَ فِي هَٰذِهِۦٓ أَعۡمَىٰ فَهُوَ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ أَعۡمَىٰ وَأَضَلُّ سَبِيلٗا

(17:72 Quran)

How much more time do we need to ignite the light in us? How many reminders? How many signs? We can see all around us what’s happening in the ruthless world. Don’t we understand the plight of Muslims? We talk about Palestinians, we post statuses, and we change our DP. Donating and praying—is that it? We must understand this is not just what God demands; he wants us to see the reality in the suffering of our beloved brothers and sisters. We must understand how fragile life is and how cruel this world is; everything here is just an illusion, and we must accept that. We are equally responsible for the suffering they are bearing because we are running after Dunya and neglecting our duty as Muslims, engrossed in this filthy world. We have to wake up from the deep slumber; we need to change, and this change has to be continuous, not just a one-time change. We need to build a community and push each other to be better Muslims. We must leave everything that is against Islam and our belief system, even if it is remotely associated. I know it’s a tedious task, but that doesn’t mean that we do not act to improve.

Abu Dharr reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Allah Almighty says: Whoever comes with a good deed will have the reward of ten like it and even more. Whoever comes with an evil deed will be recompensed for one evil deed like it, or he will be forgiven. Whoever draws close to Me by the length of a hand, I will draw close to him by the length of an arm. Whoever draws close to Me by the length of an arm, I will draw close to him by the length of a fathom. Whoever comes to Me walking, I will come to him running. Whoever meets Me with enough sins to fill the earth, not associating any partners with Me, I will meet him with as much forgiveness.

Everyone falters every now and then and keeps repeating the same mistake again and again. This is how we have been created, and that is why Allah is Al-Ghafoor.

But does that mean we do not change for the better? We know our faults, yet we don’t budge and act, or sometimes we try but can’t hold on. All this because we are surrounded by the things that keep us away from the straight path, and we are wasting our time scrolling mindlessly, gossiping at tea stalls, or dozing at hookah bars. Is this what our prophet wants from this Ummah? Remember, we will be answerable to Allah. Have we forgotten the sacrifice made by the Prophet and his companions?

Our Plan

At House of Wisdom we will be creating a one-of-a-kind, state-of-the-art learning center, which will focus especially on kids and youth, as they are the future and flag bearers of the Ummah, in sha Allah.

  • We will be setting up a huge Islamic library with thousands of books not just related to Islam but also to astronomy, geography, and the history of the world (authentic). — Biographies —- Kids activities — Journalism — Memoir — Travel — Guides — Self-Help — Philosophy — Health — Autobiographies and anything that falls in non-fiction and is authentic—even some genres from fiction as well.

Allah says in the Quran (96:1),

ٱقۡرَأۡ بِٱسۡمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ

Read, ˹O Prophet,˺ in the Name of your Lord Who created

The Quranic verse “Iqra’ bismi rabbika alladhi khalaq” (Read in the name of your Lord who created) emphasizes the importance of seeking knowledge, with “reading” understood as a broad concept encompassing learning, exploring, and seeking enlightenment. This verse, the first revealed to Prophet Muhammad, highlights that knowledge is intrinsically linked to faith and devotion to God and is a continuous journey

  • “Iqra'” (Read):
  • This is a command to seek knowledge, not just through literal reading, but also through understanding, reflection, and exploration.
  • “Bismi Rabbika” (In the name of your Lord):
  • This phrase signifies that knowledge should be sought with the purpose of drawing closer to God and recognizing His creation.
  • “Alladhi Khalaq” (Who created):
  • This emphasizes the connection between creation and knowledge, suggesting that understanding the world around us is a way to understand the Creator.
  • The verse as a foundation for Islamic education:
  • The verse emphasizes that knowledge should be integrated with faith and piety, leading to the development of a strong moral character.
  • Continuous pursuit of knowledge:
  • The Quran also includes a supplication for increased knowledge, emphasizing that learning is a lifelong journey.
  • There will be an area for kids where they can do activity-based programs, play, and learn. Kids need space; we will be building an area that will attract them and engage them so they won’t get bored easily. In today’s fast-paced and technology-driven world, it’s common to experience a shorter attention span, often compared to the attention span of a goldfish. This phenomenon is influenced by various factors, including the constant influx of digital distractions, multitasking, and the pressure to keep up with a constantly moving world; it can lead to challenges in focus, concentration, and deeper engagement with tasks and relationships. Too much of anything will lead to nothing but destruction.
  • There will be a dedicated space for women and men separately to read and learn. We will be setting up special hours where only men or women will be allowed to sit and read inside the center, though borrowing the books can be done any time of the day.
  • We will be conducting hourly classes daily where we will be teaching kids Islamic history and the stories of our Sahaba, prophets, and scholars of Islam in an interactive way.
  • Weekly gathering of members to discuss about deen/charity/Islah/expansion and many more; every week on a particular day we will encourage the members and friends to meet and discuss( there will be a dedicated podcast area). This way we will build a strong bond and relationship and sense of brotherhood, which is very important in Islam.
  • Every fortnight we will conduct competitions and activity-based programs where we will reward kids; this will make them engage more often, and they will be interested to attend classes as well, so whenever they say they are getting bored, just send them to the center in sha Allah, and we will take care of them. Do not ignore them or hand them the screens.
  • Monthly fitness programs/games are conducted inside the gym or park related to fitness for both kids and adults. We want to build a strong community, and to do that, we must focus on health as well. Body and soul both need the exercise. Remember, The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than the weak believer.
  • Every 40th day, we will put up some challenges and tasks in which anybody can participate, and whoever wins or performs those tasks diligently will be rewarded and felicitated.
  • Every 2 months we will be inviting the learned scholars and organizing an open feast for all, as we have a 4500 sqft area (1500 + 3000 gym area) where we can arrange separate seating for women and men and serve snacks, tea, and refreshments.
  • Every 6 months we will organize a 3-4 day mountain trekking and camping outdoor activity for kids; their fathers can also join. Trekking and camping offer numerous benefits for children, fostering physical, mental, and social development. These activities promote physical fitness, build confidence and resilience, enhance problem-solving skills, and cultivate an appreciation for nature, mental well-being, and personal development. These activities encourage outdoor play. Several sources say that spending time in nature can also reduce stress and improve sleep quality. It brings you closer to God.
  • Every 12 months we will organize a grand feast for all the members where we will exchange ideas and suggestions so that we can expand to new places and areas, in sha Allah. This conference will be attended by various scholars of deen as well. When we plan big, we act and do everything to achieve that. This must be the goal of each and every person; just doing the blabbering will not return anything fruitful. We have to act, and results depend on how well we act and how much determination we have, and Allah will surely reward us for our efforts.

Our Goal

The ultimate goal is to prepare ourselves for the final destination, the day when we meet our Lord. We have been sent here in this world for a test, so we must pass it with distinction—not just pass but try to top it. When we want to achieve something in this world, we set goals, and then we do whatever best we can to achieve that goal. But have we ever asked ourselves the question, what are we doing to achieve the ultimate goal of this life? We must ponder over this and focus on the things that move us closer to that goal and leave those things that take us far away.

We want to create this Maktab—The House of Wisdom—to work on those things as a community, leave what is haraam and prohibited, and do what is lovable to the creator, which makes us closer to him. And inshaAllah, with your support, we will achieve what we desire.

How can you support?

Get on board and become a Trustee.

If you share the same school of thought as we do, then you are more than welcome to become the Trustee of the House of Wisdom. We must agree on the basic and essential contract points before we consider you to become a trustee. It’s a huge responsibility, and we want each and every trustee to be engaging, supportive, and understanding.

Perks/Benefits of being a Trustee

  • In simple words, a trustee is actually a co-owner of the place; he will be given the key to the center.
  • Trustees are responsible for the overall well-being and strategic direction of the center.

This includes tasks like

  • Approving the center’s budget and financial plans.
  • Hiring and evaluating the director/manager who runs the center.
  • Establishing policies and procedures.
  • Advocating for the House of Wisdom within the community.
  • Ensuring the center is meeting the needs of the community
  • Apart from the above authorities/rights he will enjoy all the perks/benefits of the membership as well (mentioned below)

Eligibility/Traits/Skills of a Trustee

  • Passion for libraries and their role in the community: A genuine interest in supporting the library and its mission is crucial.
  • Commitment to the community: Understanding the diverse needs and interests of the community and advocating for their inclusion in center services.
  • Advocacy skills: The ability to effectively represent the center’s needs and advocate for its interests with the community and governmental bodies.
  • Communication skills: Effective communication, including active listening, is important for interacting with fellow board members, center staff, and the public.
  • Decision-making and problem-solving skills: The capacity to analyze information, make sound judgments, and work collaboratively to address challenges.

As a trustee, one needs to invest a sum of Rs 2 Lakhs (200000/-) so that we can build the proposed library-cum-learning center as we have planned. This amount will be used to build the center. As we have said earlier, we are not building an ordinary place; we will be building a state-of-the-art library with a learning center, a community kitchen, a podcast area, and a washroom with a Wudu facility. We will equip it with furniture, racks, air conditioning, thousands of books, a dedicated area for kids, and many more such facilities.

Become a Member

You can join House of Wisdom as a member and help us build this project, which will be beneficial for our Ummah in sha Allah. We need each other and support each other to build a maktab and strengthen our community, which can be used by all, the one who can afford it and the one who cannot.

Invest a sum of Rs 24000 per annum, which will help us in building this Maktab and expanding it in the future in sha Allah.

Rs 2000 per month is nothing if we compare it with the other expenses we spend on the things that we don’t need, the things that take us far away from the love of Allah. A single visit to the mall and we spend 5-10 thousand, most of the time on the products that we do not really need. We pay thousands of rupees as monthly or yearly subscription fees for the OTT platforms, and what do we get in return? Wisdom? No, we all know how dangerous these platforms are for us and our kids. Today we are spending thousands of rupees on the modern education of our children, sending them to missionary and Montessori schools. What for? Pressure from society? Deep down in our hearts we know what is right and what is wrong, yet for the sake of showing off, we are allowing/forcing our young kids to be a part of institutions where music and dance are a norm and where intermingling of sexes is considered normal. Is this what we have been taught by our prophets? well , we all need to change our mindset, it will take time but sooner or later in sha Allah we will be on right track.

Here at House of Wisdom we have an opportunity to spend just Rs 2000 per month (Rs 24000 annual membership fees), and we can be a part of the greater cause. This money will be used in building the library and the center that we have proposed; your contribution will help us to buy books of all genres to fill the library and to organize the activities and programs that we are planning. Each penny of yours will be fruitful in sha Allah, and you will earn a great reward in this world and hereafter.

Perks/Benefits of being a Member

  • You will be given a Golden access card to the House of Wisdom, which will allow you to visit the library any time you want during the operational hours; you can sit and read inside the library without any time limit.
  • You will also be given the access to use our kitchen/pantry and everything inside, come sit and relax , read your favourite book while sipping a coffee or a drink.
  • You can borrow as many books as you need and read them in the comfort of your home and return them within a specific period of time. We can even deliver the books pan-India free of cost. It doesn’t matter where you are; all the information related to books will be stored in our software and website, and you will be given access to that. You may search and request what you want to read, and we can deliver it at your doorstep.
  • You will also be provided with the GYM access card, which will entitle you to avail all the facilities at the gym for one year. (1st and 2nd floors). Not just the mind; we must focus on our health too. Our gym is not an ordinary gym; we have built it on the principles of Islam. There is no music or intermingling of sexes, and there are separate times for males and females. We have created a very beautiful and positive surrounding with state-of-the-art machinery and a passion for workouts. Our trainers are professional and are always by your side whenever you need them.
  • Monthly/Quarterly Gift PacksSurprise packages with Islamic books, bookmarks, journals, or House of Wisdom merchandise.
  • Recognition & Rewards-Acknowledgment for active members (e.g., “Member of the Month”).Loyalty points or tokens that can be redeemed at events or in the library café/store.
  • Once a year you may be allowed to organize a program/feast/seminar/meeting related to Islam/learning/motivation/teaching under the guidelines of the House of Wisdom (post approval of the trustees and founder); for this you need to inform us at least 30 days prior. You can use this space for something positive that will be beneficial to the society and our Deen.
    • Become a Donor/Contributor

You may also join House of Wisdom as a donor or contributor; you can invest as your pocket allows and help us in building the project. Whatever amount you can invest for the purpose, that will be great. Insha Allah, you will be rewarded in this Dunya and Akhirah. Whatever funds we collect, we will use each rupee for this beautiful cause. By now you must have understood the purpose of building this house; it’s not just an ordinary library but a maktab, a learning center for all. You may also donate books as per the recommendation of the scholars; we need thousands of books, and the majority of our budget will be spent on procuring the books, which we will keep in the library, and every person who reads them—not only that person but you too—will be rewarded, insha Allah.

Our purpose of building the House of Wisdom is to build a very strong community where every Muslim from all parts of life can come and join us. No matter if you are rich or poor, House of Wisdom is free for all. If you can afford to contribute, that’s good, as it helps us in running the House, but if you cannot, no need. It’s open for everyone; they can come sit and relax, read a book, borrow for a specific period as per the guidelines, and return the book. They can join the group where we will be sending all the updates. They can come and send their kids for daily hourly classes or whenever there is a program.

We will be providing the dresses and stationery to the underprivileged kids who can come and learn at the center. We will be inviting them on a daily or weekly basis. We believe that each and every momin has a right to learn, as our Prophet says.

“All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a White has no superiority over a Black nor a Black has any superiority over a White except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly.”
— Muhammad( S.A.W)

What we all need is the foundation, a push, and an initiative, and then as we move forward to achieve our vision, in sha Allah, we will be guided with divine power, we will meet and discuss the possibilities, and we will mend our ways so that we can get closer to our goal. Life is a test we must understand, and we have to do our best to polish our Imaan in every way possible so that we can pass this test with distinction; we must aspire for the highest level of Jannah.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said that if we were to ask for paradise, we should ask for its highest level: Al-Firdaus Al-A’la.

And the Prophet (ﷺ) also said: Al-Firdaus is the highest of Paradise and its most expansive, and above that is the Throne of Ar-Rahman (the Most Merciful), and from it the rivers of Paradise are made to flow forth, so when you ask Allah subḥānahu wa ta’āla (glorified and exalted be He), ask Him for Al-Firdaus. [ tirmidhi – 2530 ]

In another hadith, the Prophet (ﷺ) said, Paradise has one hundred grades, each of which is as big as the distance between heaven and earth. The highest of them is Firdaus, and the best of them is Firdaus. The Throne is above Firdaus, and from it spring forth the rivers of Paradise. If you ask of Allah subḥānahu wa ta’āla (glorified and exalted be He), ask Him for Firdaus. [ ibn majah – 4331 ]

May Allah forgive us & grant us Janna’tul Firdaus

We are also running an organization in the name of Madad Helping Ummah since last 5 years and alhamdulillah with the blessings of almighty and community support we have feeded and helped hundreds of needy, our office is at 37,Baroodkhana,golaganj,lucknow

We do not accept Zakaat for building and running the house of wisdom as it is not allowed as Allah mentioned in the Quran

As-Sadaqaat (here it means Zakah) are only for the Fuqaraa’ (poor), and Al-Masaakeen (the poor) and those employed to collect (the funds); and to attract the hearts of those who have been inclined (towards Islam); and to free the captives; and for those in debt; and for Allah’s Cause (i.e. for Mujaahidoon — those fighting in a holy battle), and for the wayfarer (a traveller who is cut off from everything)”[al-Tawbah 9:60]

If you wish to give zakaat then kindly specify that , Our Madad foundation will use that for the above categories as mentioned in the Quran.

Your investment in the House of wisdom is actually a

Sadaqah Jariyah.

We want each one of you to be a part of this great vision. Join the House of Wisdom, and together, insha’Allah, we will do wonders. Support us in any way possible, be it financially, physically, mentally, or vocally; we need all of you.

The Waiting Room

(A Journey of Reflection)

Khwabon ka Kaarwaan tha..
Ghaflat may jeerahay thay..

Jab aankh khuli to ehsaas hua
Maqsad zindagi ka .

This world is like a waiting room that we are living in right now ,

waiting for our final destination.

How many among us are ready ? or have prepared ?

After the collapse of the room … There will be nothing left but doom.

And in the end… we all shall die.

But death… is not the end. No one can escape it. And after death, we will be resurrected.

On that day…we will be questioned.
About the time we spent,
the money we earned and the life we lived.

Are we prepared?

Like a Dream…

When we dream, we only remember moments—fleeting images… scattered scenes…

And when we wake up, we rarely recall the details.
We don’t know how long we were dreaming and what exactly happened.

This life… is just like that.A brief dream before we awaken to the truth.

The Awakening

When we are raised again,
we will realize…

This life was nothing but a dream —
A test to reach the Final Destination.

And in that moment, these words will echo in our hearts:

“The life of this world is nothing but a comfort of illusion.”

The Return

This world is like a waiting room. Whether we accept it or not—time will end.

Our souls…
are waiting in this world to return to their Creator.

And one day—He will take back what He once gave.

“He brought you to life, then He caused you to die, then He will bring you back to life, and then to Him you will be returned.”
(— Al-Qur’an)

The Truth We Ignore

Why are we pretending to be blind?

Is it for the temporary pleasures of this world —
the glitter that we all know will perish?

Do you know what we’ll take with us when we leave?

Nothing.
Except our faith and our deeds.

So enough…Eough decorating this waiting room.
Enough spending lavishly on things that will stay behind…

While we move on to the final stage of our Life

The Real Investment

If we truly want to decorate anything, let it be our soul.
If we want to invest, let it be in our Imaan.

Let’s polish our thoughts. Let’s seek knowledge and the real meaning of life. Let’s prepare…for the life of eternal bliss.

“Do you think We created you in play (without purpose), and that you would not be brought back to Us?”
(— Al-Qur’an)

Mitti se ham banay hain,Mitti May miljaana hai

We were created from dust,
and to dust we shall return.

Better to know the purpose of our birth… before death finds us.Because once it does…

It will be too late.

Health in Islam

What Islam says about Health and Fitness?

Islam has put a great emphasis over healthy life because Islam believes that a person should be fit in terms of health in order to be at peace. Thus, by healthy lifestyle, people would be able to spend their lives in a proper and thoughtful manner. Islam has also paid a great focus on use of thinking in every aspect of life and so how is it possible that an unhealthy brain think properly? No! Therefore, a person should be fit emotionally and physically to live a better life.

Allah says in Surah Al-Araf, verse 31:

“O Children of Adam! Dress properly whenever you are at worship. Eat and drink, but do not waste. Surely He does not like the wasteful” [7: 31].

Importance of Fitness in Islam

Our beloved Prophet (P.B.U.H) said:

“The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than the weak believer, while there is good in both” [Muslim].

The above hadith is indeed centrally talking on the strength of faith and character in a person; however, health and fitness are also equally recommended. This means that Muslims are obliged to take a good care of their spiritual, physical as well as emotional health.

Why we should Take Care of Our Health?

The reason of taking care of our body and health is that we all belong to Allah to whom we should return, and this body is given to us by Allah and we should submit this body one day to Allah. Hence, it is our duty to take care of these bodies which are given to us and we should submit these bodies in better conditions to Allah. Our bodies should not be neglected or abused in any way because bodies do not deserve such a bad treatment.

Halal Foods in Islam

Muslims are asked to eat only halal foods and there is also a scientific logic behind this. All kind of foods which are considered as halal foods are the healthiest meal. For example, chicken and meat is halal (permitted) which is highly rich in protein and on the other hand wine or whiskey or any kind of alcohol is haram (prohibited) because consumption of alcohol leads to major liver and heart diseases. Moreover, fruits and vegetables are halal which provides vitamins and carbohydrates to bodies and meat of dead animals are haram (prohibited) in Islam. The reason of making dead animals’ meat haram is that the meat could become a poison and lead to worsening humans’ health.

Allah says in Quran in Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 173:

“He has only prohibited for you carrion, blood, the flesh of swine and that upon which a name of someone other than ‘Allah’ has been invoked. Then, whoever is compelled by necessity, neither seeking pleasure nor transgressing, there is no sin on him. Verily, Allah is Most-Forgiving, Very-Merciful” [2: 173].

The above verse mentions some of the prohibited food in Islam upon Muslims. These foods are prohibited because of major reasons behind health and fitness concerns. However, since Islam is the easiest and forgiving religion, this is why Islam has allowed eating the prohibited food in conditions of emergencies or when a person dies of hunger and he or she has nothing to eat.

Allah has blessed people with so many Healthy Foods so that people may eat and stay healthy.

Struggle against Nafs

0

Struggle against evil ideas, desires and of lust, anger, and insatiable imagination, placing all of them under the dictates of reason and faith in obedience to God’s commands, and finally, purging all satanic ideas and influences from one’s soul.

1-Striving to learn the teachings of Islam without which one cannot attain success and happiness in this world or in the Hereafter; if this is missing then one is doomed to misery in this world and in the Hereafter.

2 – Striving to make oneself act in accordance with what one has learned. Simply knowing without acting, even though it may not cause any harm, is not going to bring any benefit.

3 – Striving to call others to Islam, teaching those who do not know about it. Otherwise one will be one of those who conceal that which Allaah has revealed of guidance and teaching, and it will not benefit him or save him from the punishment of Allaah.

4 – Striving to bear patiently the difficulties involved in calling people to Allah and the insults of people; bearing all that for the sake of Allah.

This struggle is considered as the major struggle as it is much more difficult than fighting in the battlefield, for in the struggle against the self, one has to constantly battle enemies that are hosted inside his own existence.

Islamic ethical teachings indicate that the one who succeeds in this struggle can rise above and beyond the level of angels, and one who fails in this struggle will descend to a level lower than the level of animals, and may even be grouped among the legions of the devil.

Prophet (P.B.U.H) said to his companions when they returned from a military campaign, “We have come back from the lesser struggle to the greaterstruggle.” They said, “Is there any greater struggle than struggle against the kuffar?” he said, “Yes, struggle al-nafs (struggle against the self).”

struggle bin nafs is the greater struggle than the struggle against the disbelievers. Allah says in Quran in Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 216:

“Fighting has been enjoined upon you while it is hateful to you. But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not”. [2:216]

Also Prophet Mohammad (P.B.U.H) said:

“The struggler is the one who strives against his soul/self in obedience to God, the Mighty and Majestic.” [Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah]

Hence, this states that struggle bin nafs which means to fight against the evil within oneself is more important than to fight against the enemies. The evil side in a person can lead to the destruction of the good side of a person too. Muslims should be very much aware of the teachings of Holy Quran and Sunnah so that evil powers cannot be able to guide them on the path of disbelievers. Having true knowledge which is the knowledge of Quran is very significant to differentiate in between the good and bad in the life of a person.

Prophet Mohammad (P.B.U.H) said in his last Sermon:

“Beware of Satan, for the safety of your religion. He has lost all hope of that he will be able to lead you astray in big things, so beware of following him in small things”.

The Last Sermon of Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) is making us aware of the evil powers which can divert our minds to the wrong things and to the things which are forbidden in the religion Islam.

Books to Read

0

For now we can Start with the following books mentioned below. They will change the way you think , they will help you to better your Imaan in sha Allah.

Will add more books soon.

Why 40 Days?

He who purifies his faith for Allah for forty days, Allah will flow the springs of wisdom from his heart to his tongue.”

As mentioned in the Holy Quran, it seems that the age of forty should be the time when a human being is supposed to reach his/her intellectual perfection and understanding of life. This is the time when one can plan the rest of his/her life in a way to gain the most from this world for the hereafter:

“… When he comes of age and reaches forty years, he says, ‘My Lord! Inspire me to give thanks for Your blessing with which You have blessed my parents and me, and that I may do righteous deeds which please You and invest my descendants with righteousness. Indeed, I have turned to you in penitence, and I am one of the Muslims.” (46:15)

Whoever prays to Allah for forty days in congregation, reaching the opening Takbeer, will have immunity from two things: freedom from the Fire and freedom from hypocrisy.” (Sunan Tirmizi)

It is narrated from Prophet Muhammad (PBUH & HP) that “When one becomes forty years old, Allah tells his two guardian angels, ‘From now on, be strict on him and note every small and big deed he does.’” The narration emphasizes that the age of forty shapes the personality of a person, and if he/she is still unable to manage his/her life, it is his/her fault for having wasted his/her life in the wrong way.

To achieve something in this world, we set a goal, and then we do all the calculations, we prepare ourselves, we do hard work, and we strive. All the time we keep thinking about our goal without knowing if we will achieve it or not. But we all know the Promise of Allah; we know and believe in Judgement Day, life after death, and the endless life; we know about Paradise and Hell. The truth is no one can deny or run away from it. A day will come when all of us will die and the real journey will begin—yet we are not preparing ourselves for our final destination.

Join this community, and let’s help each other in reforming ourselves into better human beings. We must learn the Islamic rules of living in this life so that we can achieve the highest of paradise. Start with self, stir our mind and body, and see what we lack, and support each other to overcome that so that we all can walk towards paradise together, in sha Allah.

Discipline is the key!

Make a list of the tasks that you want to follow for the next 40 days without missing a single one, and make a promise to yourself. Start with the basics and then move on to moderate and then to difficult, step by step. No need to jump; start at “A” and move towards “Z.” This should be the goal; it will be easy, as you will be doing it for the sake of Allah so that you can become a better Muslim.

Take a deep breath, close your eyes, and listen to the true voice, and look out for what you can improve.

For example, start with the Namaaz. Offering each and every namaaz with the congregation for the next 40 days, not missing even a single one. If somehow you miss one, then as compensation, offer 20 voluntary rakahs before sleeping. Delete all the OTT or other apps that waste your time, and make a promise to yourself not to use them for the next 40 days. Sleep early and wake up early; set a time and make sure you follow that. Exercise or gym or both OR you may set your goals that will make you a better person spiritually and physically and do it in groups, I mean along with your friends, so that you may take care of each other and uplift them in order to achieve the goals. Building a community will help and make your task easy. Remember, this will be the start for a great revolution, in sha Allah. We will start with ourselves, and then we will reach out to others.

If you consecutively do something for 40 days without breaking the chain, then trust me, by the will of Allah, your mind and body will become habitual to it, and it will yearn for more. You will feel like a completely new person with lots of energy and good vibes; you won’t be able to stop, and you will try to move from “A” to B and towards the ultimate goal of “Z,” in sha Allah, but all of this will be achievable only with the help of our family and friends and the community of like-minded people. We all need each other; we need support, and we need a push at times when we are down or out. This world is a Fitna, and we all are surrounded by it—not just surrounded, but the Fitna has embedded itself into our mind, heart, and soul. We need revival as soon as possible.

Ibn Al Haytham:Vision and Cameras

Vision, Light and Optics: Discovered by Muslims.

Before Al Haytham, a ninth-century Muslim polymath, known as Al-Kindi was the first person to question the Greek theories of vision. The Greeks believed that rays came out of our eyes (a little like laser technology) and this allowed us to see. However, Al Kindi stated that our visual cone is not made up of discrete rays but rather it is a volume of continuous radiations in three dimensions.

Al Kindi

He was “one of the twelve giant minds of history”1, as stated by the 16th century Italian physician and mathematician Geronimo Cardno. Al Kindi examined vision with and without a mirror. He spoke of how light rays came in a straight line, the effect of distance and angle on sight and about optical illusions.

He wrote two disquisitions on physiological and geometrical optics which were used by other scholars including German physicist Witelo and English scholar Roger Bacon. Al Kindi’s work was so profound that various English scholars and others in the field repeatedly referred to his work.

Ibn Al Haytham

The questioning of how our vision works was continued by Al-Hasan Ibn al-Haytham, who built on Al-Kindi’s work. Ibn al-Haytham, was a Muslim scientist who revolutionised vision, optics and light. In the tenth century, Ibn al-Haytham eventually found that vision was possible due to the refraction of light rays.

He was born in Basra, Iraq, in 965. The story of how he reformed the understanding of light and vision began when he was summoned by the ruling caliph in Cairo to control the Nile’s unpredictable flood. Upon arriving and assessing the situation, Ibn al-Haytham found that this challenge he had agreed to complete was in fact impossible. The Caliph at the time was brutal and out of fear of the wrath that would occur due to his failure, Ibn al-Haytham pretended he was mad! For his own protection, the Caliph placed him under house arrest and this 10-year imprisonment led to the world-renowned discoveries that modern science still follows.

In his darkened room, Ibn al-Haytham saw light projecting through a pinhole and this helped him realise that light rays that are emitted from objects enter our eyes.

Next, he began experimenting within the room and “camera obscura” and showed how light enters eyes in the shape of a geometric cone of vision. He further experimented with lenses and mirrors.

This illustration shows how light shines through a small hole in the darkened room, projecting an inverted image on the opposite sheet. He called this “Qamara”, the world’s first Camera Obscura.

Book of Optics

These developments were published in the acclaimed Book of Optics which he wrote between 1011 and 1021. This book was translated in many languages, including Latin, influencing the works of Leonardo Da Vinci, Roger Bacon and Johannes Kepler. Contemporary society relies on this accurate understanding of light and vision, which was founded by the Muslim scientist Ibn al-Haytham, over a thousand years ago.

Contribution to the Scientific Method

Ibn al-Haytham also realised that his senses were prone to error and thus he began scientific methods of variation, testing, verification and experimentation to ensure that his findings were all accurate. This was unusual at the time as physics was without experiment, much like philosophy. His methods of investigation later became known as the crucial modern scientific method of research.

“He, Ibn al-Haytham, was the greatest Muslim physicist and student of optics of all times. Whether it be in England or far away Persia, all drank from the same fountain. He exerted a great influence on European thought from Bacon to Kepler.”

George Sarton in his History of Science.

Kamal al Din al Farisi, a Muslim persian mathematician built on Ibn al-Haytham’s work. Al Farisi experimented with a glass sphere filled with water, to try to understand and explain the colours of the rainbow. He used this sphere as a model of a raindrop and showed that sunlight bent twice through the droplet.

Figure 3: Notes and sketch by 13th century Kamal al-Din al-Farisi depicting the anatomy of the eye. The text identifies the role of the brain when interpreting the image on the retina of the eye. Based on Al-Haytham’s ideas.

Ibn al-Haytham’s dark chamber which he named “camera obscura” formed the basis of optical devices such as cameras. His distinguished research paved the path for experimental science and the rational perspectives of later scholars.

His Legacy

Unfortunately, Al Haytham’s contributions were disregarded since his death. When his books were translated to Latin, he was not referred to by his real name but rather “Alhazen”. Changing the names of Muslim scholars to one that is more European sounding often occurred during the European Renaissance, with aims of discrediting Muslims and their contributions within the wider world.

A crater on the moon is named Alhazen in honor of Hasan Ibn Al Haytham’s vast contributions on vision and camera developments.

Nevertheless, the brilliant minds of these Muslim scholars inspired many generations and continues to be a source of motivation for others. Indisputably, without their research, especially Ibn Haytham’s discoveries, the modern world of science as we know it today, would not exist.

Darkness

0

In hope of the light ,but in grip of the darkness. We are living right now

Most of us are living in gloom

For the Light to penetrate ,there is no room

We may not be aware ,as we falls to our doom

Ever wondered, what is actually on the other side?

For some moment think and come out of your false pride

We are moving in the wrong direction on a faulty ride.

We have been blessed with signs
Since the beginning of time.

If we open our eyes and dare to look around.

We are so occupied with the World

We forgets that we are here for a Test.

To Kill the Darkness

We must reach out for the Light

Give yourself a break from the routine

Ponder over your life & see the unseen

Get away from the chaos, stop being a machine

or there will be a dead end!!

A Point of No return.

The Whispers of Satan

0

“I will surely sit in wait for them on Your straight path. Then I will come to them from before them and from behind them and on their right and on their left, and You will not find most of them grateful (to You)”–Surah Al-A’râf

He knows our weakness inside out
Devout to his mission without a doubt.

He knows how to seduce, trick and mislead
With his whispers, baits & deception indeed

Created from the smokeless fire.
To mislead humans is what he aspire

Do not fall into his whispers,

he do not have the ability,
nor power to force you to fall into a sinful act.
it’s your Free will which will be responsible ,
work on it , make it strong or

eventually you will stop believing
in the existence of GOD ,

that is what his ultimate goal is.

Pray to the creator and

let yourself out of the Oblivion.

Study, research & Question
stop being a Darwinian.

Flight of Destiny

We Born , We grow,

we learn ,we bloom

we fade , we die.

Power Will subside , Empire Will Vanish,Reign Will End,Monuments will Plummet,

We will be Nothing but Stone and Dust, Pride and Arrogance Will Destroy Our Faith

Life starts after Death

The Endless Life

We must never forget

Our Life in the hereafter depends on our Present Life

Decision of Our Life will decide our Destiny.

Make them wisely !
